My client, a Construction company in Essex are looking for a credit controller to join their team.


The salary for this role is between £30k and £37k depending on experience and is based on site full time in the Essex area.


The client ideally wants someone who is looking to grow into an Assistant Accountant role /but has the necessary skills to go in and assist with Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Credit Control etc initially.


The key requirements for this role are


  • Prepare Excel "applications for payment" and handle related correspondence.
  • Process all purchase ledger and sales ledger transactions for an SME construction services business.
  • Process bona fide subcontractor payments.
  • Serve as a credit controller.
  • Assist with wages and manage weekly subcontractor payment runs.
  • Perform ad hoc accounts duties.

My client's preference is for candidates to have construction experience ideally but excellent applicants from different industries may be considered.

There is definite potential for development into an Assistant Accountant role.
