Responsibilities:


As a Professional Indemnity Lawyer, you will be responsible for:


  • Managing a varied workload covering professional negligence and commercial dispute resolution work.
  • Handling professional liability claims from policy response to litigation.
  • Assisting in the defence of high-value and complex claims.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and meeting deadlines and reporting requirements.
  • Representing professionals before public inquiries.
  • Participating in business development activities.

Essential:


  • 2+ years of PQE in professional negligence and commercial dispute resolution work.
  • Strong litigation skills, with experience in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Client-focused approach and attention to detail.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Desirable:


  • Experience in ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution).
  • Previous experience working with construction professionals.
