LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Tax Director for a dynamic and growing organization based in Akron, Ohio. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for a seasoned tax professional with a strong foundation in public accounting and a passion for strategic tax planning and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of the client’s tax function, including planning, compliance, and reporting for federal, state, and local taxes.

• Serve as the subject matter expert on entity taxation, including C-corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, and other pass-through entities.

• Develop and implement tax strategies that align with business goals and ensure compliance with evolving tax laws and regulations.

• Oversee tax audits and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.

• Mentor and lead a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, legal, and executive leadership to support business initiatives and transactions.

Qualifications:

• CPA designation is required.

• Minimum of 5 years in a tax leadership role, with extensive and current experience in public accounting.

• Proven expertise as an entity tax generalist, with hands-on experience across a variety of entity structures.

• Proven experience building client relationships

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
