LHH Solutions is assisting a client in hiring for a Purchasing Assistant to conduct day-to-day community level purchasing tasks. This person will also be assisting with office activities to support the purchasing department.


Location: Alameda CA. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON-SITE


Pay range: $26-30/hr DOE


*CONTRACT 3-6 MONTHS


Responsibilities:

  • Bidding and contract negotiation and contract management
  • Prepare contract documents
  • Forecast expenses
  • Work with vendors on contract negotiation on office supply contracts and budgeting
  • Maintain direct communication with internal departments and external vendors to provide directions and clarifications on contracts
  • Troubleshoot and resolve purchasing issues
  • Other duties as needed

  • Qualifications:

  • Detail oriented
  • Experience in purchasing a plus!
  • Strong organizational skills, able to handle multiple deadlines and can multitask
  • Able to work well with others in team setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication, able to take complex concept and communicate succinctly and accurately
