Director - HR Consulting in Albuquerque, New Mexico

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring for a Director of HR Consulting! This position will oversee the HR Support team and two direct management level reports, along with project management services. This role will require expert client relationship management, strategy development, critical thinking, leadership, and an expertise in HR laws and best practices. This exciting opportunity is fully remote but could require up to 25% travel. Our client has current operations in 12 states, less travel required if you live in the Southwest. Responsibilities:

Manages projects related the development, implementation and administration of human resources programs

Oversees projects involving human resources assessments related to processes, procedures, policies, staffing, qualifications of staff, and compliance with HR laws and regulations

Conducts research to formulate strategic and practical plans to address client matters

Consults on performance management systems, including determination of KPI linked to pay, performance appraisal, and coaching

Coordinates, prepares, and reviews client proposals

Oversees project management activities related to budget, deliverables, and timelines

Develops and closes on new business leads and opportunities; assists with the development of marketing materials, speaking engagements, presentations and marketing campaigns

Oversees the quality control processes and performs quality reviews of other teams

Applies executive reasoning and decision making to solve complex HR challenges in all core areas of human resources for HRC clients

Function as a strategic business advisor to the HRC Department Head

Works with the Department Head to establish a plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the HRC department

Assist Department Head to develop HRC business plan; financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating, requirements, trends, and variances that contribute to the financial health of the client’s business through budgeting, talent management, employee engagement, and benefits

Effectively guides team members and provides resolution of team member relations issues such as complaints, accidents, conflict resolution, engagement, and morale, collaborates with People Operations as required or directed

Develops, recommends, and implements systems and processes to create overall improvement in workforce success: productivity, effectiveness, HRC culture alignment, and engagement.

Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations in all client work

Quality control review, of all assigned team members work to ensure compliance and mitigate risk for clients

Participates in Firm activities at a management level; delivers presentations at trade shows as directed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field

Masters or MBA strongly preferred

Ten years of progressive experience in human resources or employment law or a combination of education and applicable experience

At least 3 years of experience overseeing large Human Resources projects

At least 3 years of experience in direct “client facing” Human Resources role (internal or external clients)

SPHR, SRM-CP or similar certifications highly desired

Expert relationship-building skills, and the ability to develop mutually beneficial working relationships with clients, team members, leadership, and other stakeholders; superior client management skills

Highly proficient using and ability to train on; HRIS, ATS and other Human Resources Software applications.

Other:

Pay Rate: $120k to 150k + annual bonus & incentive bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
