About the Role:
We are seeking a Medical Scheduler on behalf of a respected healthcare organization in Albuquerque. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment and is ready to make an immediate impact in healthcare operations.
As a Medical Scheduler, you will be the first point of contact for patients and providers—ensuring appointments are scheduled accurately and efficiently. If you are detail-oriented, compassionate, and ready to contribute to a high-performing team, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments via phone and electronic systems
- Verify insurance and patient information
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth scheduling workflows
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in medical scheduling or healthcare administration
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, etc.)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
