LHH Recruitment Solutions has a Bilingual Safety Specialist opening for our client in the Allentown, PA area! This direct hire full time role allows you to collaborate with numerous departments to create, design, and resolve issues relevant safety concerns, inspections, training and foster a safety-first culture that is proactive. This worksite-to-worksite travel position requires at least 5 years’ experience in utility safety work, and ideal candidates will have extensive experience in dealing with construction and/or grounds keeping worksites.

Salary range: $65,000 to $75,000.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously create, update, and implement EHS policies and procedures to remain in compliance with governing body regulations.

  • Creation, implementation, and documentation of training programs.

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure hazard mitigation as well as potential hazards identification and removal.

  • Maintain adherence to EHS protocols, procedures and policies as well as recommending and implementing any necessary corrective actions.

  • Develop, implement, and utilize root cause analysis regarding any incidents, accidents and near misses compiling documentation and implementation of any necessary corrective measures.

  • Creation of and implementation of emergency preparedness plans.

  • Deliver training and overall guidance to all personnel, vendors, and visitors on company EHS policy and procedures in English and Spanish.

  • Remain up to date on all relevant laws and regulations and make any necessary corrections and implementations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to remain organized, analytical while working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional and technical presentation and communication skills a must.

  • OSHA 30 hour certified.

  • Must have valid driver’s license, take drug screen and pass a background check.

  • Experience in arborist safety and utilities HIGHLY preferred.

  • Highly versed in OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and ANSI Z133 required.

  • 5+ years’ experience in a safety leadership role in either construction or utilities required.

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience in incident reporting and root cause analysis investigation required.
