LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions and providing support to general ledger accounting and bookkeeping functions. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, experience with cash bank reconciliations, and a passion for supporting the mission of a non-profit organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner

  • Maintain and reconcile accounts payable ledger and ensure proper documentation and approvals

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes

  • Perform cash bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies for complex cash transactions

  • Support general ledger entries and adjustments

  • Maintain organized financial records and assist with audit preparation

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with internal controls and grant requirements

  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

  • Demonstrated experience with cash bank reconciliations

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

  • Experience in a non-profit environment is a plus

Compensation:

$50,000-$60,000
