Payroll Admin - Remote

LHH (formerly Accounting Principals) has partnered with a local Austin, TX based company to hire their new Senior Payroll Specialist to serve as their primary payroll expert for the organization.

Direct Hire, $65-70K

Ability to work 100% remote, except 1 monthly in-person meeting-so MUST be local to Austin, Texas area

Essential Functions:

Include the following.

Approve all payroll disbursements

Administration of the 401(K) plan including reconciliation between payroll and accounting system

Remit all child support deductions, garnishments, and 401(K) deferrals on a weekly basis

Reconcile payroll registers to the general ledger

Oversee insurance/benefit administration including reconciliation of monthly insurance bills and resolution of variances

Remit unclaimed wages to the state in accordance with specified state laws and guidance

QA data entered into payroll system

Oversee annual W2 generation and submission to Social Security Administration

Additional special projects as needed including running various reports and providing data to operations team among others

Education and/or Other Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree/ CPP preferred

5 – 7 years of experience in payroll and/or accounting related functions

Multi-entity payroll processing experience required

Experience with payrolls taxes at the federal, state, and local level

Must be a team player and organized
