LHH is seeking an Manager, Category Management (Indirect) for their client based out of Beaverton, OR; this is a brand new position due to growth. This position will focus on managing a team of 4-6 Category Managers which are identifying vendors, negotiating contracts, and processing POs for Sales, Marketing, and HR as well as IT Hardware.


Compensation to include a base salary of $140,000-$170,000 annually plus bonus incentive.


Responsibilities

  • Managing leading, and developing a team of 4-6 category managers
  • Aid the company's strategic procurement efforts by implementing new policies and procedures
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders and leaders across the organization to define category strategy, and approach to leveraging spend across the functional organizations
  • Coordinating with manufacturing, engineering and other functional organizations to ensure on time delivery, cost expectations and inventory targets
  • Developing and managing supplier relationships, metrics and performance
  • Leading supplier negotiations including RFP/RFQ processes, contract management, and long term strategic negotiations to obtain maximum value proposition and meeting savings targets
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to define category strategy, and approach to leveraging spend across the functional organizations

  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years' Category Manager experience
  • 2+ year' Leadership experience
  • B.A. Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
