LHH Recruitment Solutions is accepting applicants for a Project Engineer in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for collaborating with different teams within the company and analyzing different mechanical aspects of its manufacturing process to create improved processes. Engineers who love dynamic problem solving, process improvement, and teamwork are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Create projects by analyzing customer demands, product design, and equipment capabilities.
  • Create teams (depending on the scope of the project) so that each project’s major stakeholders are included.
  • Create budget plans and approves spending for projects (it is expected that the Project Engineer will review all costs and consider customer needs and manufacturing capabilities to identify cost-reduction opportunities).
  • Determine the sequence of events during a project and collaborate with different team members accordingly.
  • Design packaging using packaging software.
  • Updating Engineering database with error-free information of past projects.
  • Periodically visit company’s manufacturing site to perform Factory Acceptance Testing or Site Acceptance Testing for equipment installation.
  • Insure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to company state, federal, and company regulations.
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Understanding of drafting standards and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of tolerances and material finishes.
  • MS Office proficiency – MS Project & 3-D design software.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects at multiple facilities.
  • New Capital Equipment Project Management / NPI management
  • Team building
  • Budgeting experience.
  • Gantt Charting and lead-time reduction.
  • Experience developing testing protocols – Must meet with equipment manufacturers to perform testing.
  • Must be skilled at communication – this role requires communication with internal stakeholders and customers
  • Experience in roll forming, high-speed stamping, rubber compounding, robotic material handing.
  • Familiar with tooling design, equipment builds, lean manufacturing principals.
  • Experience with OEE, SPC, PFMEA, machine design, Controls & Process Engineering.
  • Education & Professional Experience:

  • B.S. in Engineering – Industrial or Mechanical is preferred.
  • Must have 3 Years in project management roles
  • Must have 7 years in a manufacturing environment
  • May require travel up to 25%
