LHH is partnering with a global company who is looking for a temporary Collections Specialist. This individual will be responsible for locating and contacting customers who have overdue payments, negotiating payment plans, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. This role requires excellent communication, analytical thinking, and interpersonal skills, as it often involves resolving sensitive issues with tact and professionalism. The team needs someone who has at least five years of previous credit, AR, or collections experience. Since this is only a temporary role, they would like someone who just needs training on the system but knows how to handle customer interactions and provide resolutions. This role is a hybrid work schedule in their Bellevue, WA office.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly review aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and prioritize collection efforts.
  • Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to remind them of overdue payments and discuss payment options.
  • Work with customers to establish manageable payment plans that align with company policies.
  • Maintain detailed records of all communications, payment agreements, and account updates.
  • Address and rectify billing discrepancies or disputes to facilitate payments.
  • Partner with sales, customer service, and finance teams to ensure accurate account information and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to legal regulations and company policies regarding debt collection practices.
  • Prepare regular reports on collection activities, outstanding balances, and recovery rates.
Qualifications
  • At least five years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related field is often required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically.
  • Strong capability to negotiate payment plans and resolve disputes effectively.
  • High attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and identifying discrepancies.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to analyze financial situations and propose solutions that benefit both the customer and the company.
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Pay Details: $26.00 to $29.00 per hour
