Accounts Receivable Specialist

LHH has partnered up with a real estate company in Montgomery County, MD to identify an Accounts Receivable Specialist! The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cash applications, proficiency in Yardi software, and a strong background in account reconciliations. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate cash application, and maintaining up-to-date records for reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and apply cash receipts to customer accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to cash applications.
Prepare and post daily cash receipts to the general ledger.
Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
Identify and resolve any discrepancies between accounts receivable sub-ledger and general ledger.
Prepare and review reconciliation reports for management.
Maintain accurate customer account records and documentation.
Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable aging and cash flow.
Analyze accounts receivable data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
Support the preparation of financial statements and audits related to accounts receivable.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in accounts receivable.
Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Proficiency in Yardi software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
