Accountant

LHH is hiring for an Accountant in the Boca Raton, FL area. Our client is searching or an Accountant with a strong financial statement preparation and general accounting background. This is a great company to work for that offers excellent benefits.

Responsibilities to include:

• Preparation of month-end financial statements with budget versus actual variance analysis

• Presentation of financial reports to senior management providing accuracy, insights and recommendations for improving financial performance

• Maintain and update various general ledger accounts with supporting schedules for month-end closing process and year-end audit

• Perform cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Monitor and evaluate internal control procedures making recommendations for improvement

• Strong understanding of depreciation and amortization of fixed assets and various loan commitments

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in accounting

• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
