Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Description:

Are you an experienced Senior Accountant looking to join a dynamic media company in Boca Raton, FL? LHH is currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join a company in Boca. If you have a background in media and/or advertising and hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules according to the monthly close schedule.

• Define, prioritize, and complete month-end close procedures.

• Analyze and process 3rd party reports for processing and posting revenue, COGS, and inventory transactions. Reconcile deferred revenue where necessary.

• Prepare monthly General Ledger account reconciliations.

• Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances.

• Assist with financial and tax audits.

• Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls.

• Prepare monthly royalty reports for content contributors.

• Primary responsibility for daily and monthly bank statement reconciliation.

• Coordinate and prepare annual financial statements.

Qualifications:

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Accounting, and 4-6 years of experience.

• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Strong analytical and accounting skills.

• Intermediate to advanced experience with MSWord, MS Excel, MS Outlook.

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting.

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.

• Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to learn new tasks with a high level of difficulty.

• Ability to work with minimal guidance and take ownership of their work product.

• Experience interfacing directly with the Executive team on financial matters.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA certification.

• Experience with financial reporting and analysis in a media or advertising company.
