Job Title: Senior Payroll Accountant

Compensation: $45.00-$50.00 hourly
Job Description:
Our client is looking to hire a detail-oriented and experienced Sr. Payroll Accountant to join their team in Burbank, CA. This is a temporary-to-hire position with a leading entertainment company, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and creative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
General Ledger Accounting: Maintain and reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts. Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and implement necessary adjustments.
Reporting: Generate and distribute payroll reports, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and other payroll-related information. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and other reports as needed.
Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
Collaboration: Work closely with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and reporting. Assist with special projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3+years of experience in payroll processing and general ledger accounting, preferably within the entertainment industry.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Skills: Proficiency in payroll software and accounting systems. Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
