LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager in Burlington County, NJ. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing all aspects of corporate cost accounting, inventory valuation, and internal control processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of traditional corporate accounting and cost accounting expertise, and must hold an active CPA license.
This is an onsite role, requiring presence in the office five days per week to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the corporate cost accounting function, including standard cost accounting, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold reporting.
Inventory valuation processes and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to analyze production costs and drive cost-saving initiatives.
Maintain and enhance internal control processes related to inventory, costing, and financial reporting.
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual cost accounting reports to the Controller and executive leadership.
Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes with detailed cost analysis.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close activities related to cost accounting.
Lead and mentor a small team of cost accountants
Qualifications:
CPA certification is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a cost accounting leadership role.
Strong understanding of inventory valuation methods, standard costing, and variance analysis.
Experience in manufacturing industry
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Compensation:
$125,000 – $130,000
