Job Title: Business Systems Analyst (SAP)
Location: Onsite – Carlsbad, CA
Contract Length: ASAP through December 31, 2026

LHH is partnering with a global leader in the life sciences industry to hire a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for a long-term contract opportunity onsite in Carlsbad, CA. This role is ideal for someone with strong ERP experience (SAP preferred) who thrives in a collaborative, regulated environment and enjoys improving business processes through system optimization.


About the Role:

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will support the effective use of business systems, maintain master data and system configuration, and act as a liaison between local business teams and global system stakeholders. This is a functional role (not highly technical) focused on business process improvement, ERP support, and end-user training.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to document and improve local business processes.

  • Recommend and support cross-functional process enhancements.

  • Maintain and update master data in line with GMP, GDP, and change control standards.

  • Troubleshoot system issues and escalate appropriately.

  • Train end users and ensure compliance with global usage guidelines.

  • Act as a liaison between business units and system process owners.

  • Support and participate in change management and testing efforts.

  • Assist with special projects and maintain strong documentation practices.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, GDP, SOX, and other regulatory standards.


Qualifications:

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, IT, or related field + 2 years of relevant experience
    (OR Associate’s + 5 years, OR High School Diploma + 8 years)

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with SAP or another ERP system

  • Experience in regulated industries such as biotech, pharma, or manufacturing

Preferred Experience:

  • Project management and/or process improvement background

  • Experience supporting or participating in ERP implementation

  • Familiarity with digital transformation or software solution rollouts


Technical & General Skills:

  • Proficiency in SAP, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel/Word

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage complex data

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and work independently

  • Comfortable collaborating across departments and user levels


Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Location: Onsite at client’s Carlsbad, CA facility

  • Environment: Mix of office and lab settings; moderate noise level; occasional lifting (up to 15 lbs)



Pay Details: $35.00 to $50.00 per hour
