LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Certified Payroll Specialist to join our client In Carlsbad, CA. This temporary-to-hire position is fully onsite.
The Certified Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll for employees in multiple states, retaining payroll data, and reviewing payroll reports for accuracy. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of payroll experience and excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
· Process multi-state payroll for employees
· Verify accuracy of payroll data and payroll reports
· Monitor payroll emails and handle general inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and time and attendance and respond timely
· Stay updated with changes in payroll and tax compliance laws
· Assist with Accounting and HR duties as needed
Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years of payroll experience, with Construction Payroll experience preferred
· Strong understanding of payroll compliance, regulations, and tax principles
· Experience with Timberline, Prism, DIR is preferred
· Excellent attention to detail and working with great accuracy
· Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
