LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a reputable construction client in Carmel, IN to identify a Construction Accountant for their team. With this opportunity you will be offered a strong benefit package including EOY bonus opportunity with a flexibility work environment and hours offered.


Responsibilities:

  • Construction Accounting
  • Prepare and analyze construction draws (typically standard AIA format)
  • Work with construction Project Managers and administrators to appropriately capture, record, and present construction activity.
  • Invoice, track and receive construction reimbursements and refunds from tenants and municipalities.
  • Work with Construction Operations staff on project close-outs.
  • General Accounting – JEs, Accruals (inc. prepaids), Reconciliations, AR/AP sub ledgers, etc.
  • Assist with month-end close
  • Posting construction receipts
  • Financial Reporting & General Accounting
  • Prepare monthly reporting for both internal and external recipients
  • Review and analyze development/construction agreements for new projects and ensure projects set up meeting requirements
  • Manage relationships with multiple lenders/capital partners and adhere to specific requirements outlined for each
  • Work with project managers to collect closeout documents
  • Various ad hoc projects

  • Qualifications:

  • Only candidates with a Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting concentration should apply.
  • Strong organization: ability to handle multiple projects at one time, while adhering to reporting/presentation requirements of multiple lenders/capital partners
  • Fully proficient with MS Excel
  • Excellent work habits:must be diligent in self-review of work
  • must be a self-starter
  • must be flexible with regards to specific tasks
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills: in person, e-mail, phone
  • Experience with both Yardi and Procore is a plus
