Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Technical Service Specialist with a strong background in the manufacturing industry to join our client who is a global manufacturer. This role is responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance services for complex electromechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechatronics, electronics, PLC programming, and a solid foundation in quality or technical support roles.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing equipment and systems.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to mechatronic systems, electronic components, and PLC-controlled machinery.

  • Perform preventive maintenance, system upgrades, and installations.

  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements.

  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to support diagnostics and repairs.

  • Document service activities, generate reports, and maintain accurate records in compliance with company standards.

  • Train customers and internal teams on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.

  • Travel to customer sites as required (up to 50%).


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3–7 years of experience in a technical support or quality role within the manufacturing industry.

  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi).

  • Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, sensors, actuators, and industrial control systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with robotics, SCADA systems, or industrial networking.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Certifications in PLC programming or industrial automation.



Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
