Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Technical Service Specialist with a strong background in the manufacturing industry to join our client who is a global manufacturer. This role is responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance services for complex electromechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechatronics, electronics, PLC programming, and a solid foundation in quality or technical support roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing equipment and systems.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to mechatronic systems, electronic components, and PLC-controlled machinery.
Perform preventive maintenance, system upgrades, and installations.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to support diagnostics and repairs.
Document service activities, generate reports, and maintain accurate records in compliance with company standards.
Train customers and internal teams on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
Travel to customer sites as required (up to 50%).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3–7 years of experience in a technical support or quality role within the manufacturing industry.
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi).
Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, sensors, actuators, and industrial control systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with robotics, SCADA systems, or industrial networking.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
Certifications in PLC programming or industrial automation.
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
