Position Summary: LHH has partnered with an exciting company going through significant growth to identify a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant! The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in public accounting and a strong understanding of general ledger functions. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards and will be part of a dynamic and well-structured accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Maintain and analyze financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting and/or general ledger accounting.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
