Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist

Location: Century City, CA
Pay Rate: Up to $28/hour (based on experience)
Type: Contract-to-Hire

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist to join our team in Century City. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing receivables, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining positive client relationships. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payments, and account reconciliations.
  • Perform proactive collections by contacting clients via phone, email, and written correspondence to ensure timely payments.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and disputes with clients.
  • Monitor and maintain aging reports, categorizing accounts by delinquency status (e.g., 30, 60, 90+ days).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve client issues and ensure proper account adjustments.
  • Prepare and submit weekly collections updates and status reports to management.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities and client communications.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes by preparing AR reports and reconciling accounts.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs preferred).
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of billing and collections best practices, including handling disputes and account reconciliation.



Pay Details: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour
