Senior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is collaborating with a Chalfont, PA-based manufacturing firm to find a Senior Accountant. This role is to temporarily fill a medical leave vacancy, anticipated to span 3 to 6 months.

• Position: Senior Accountant
• Salary: $40-$45/hr.
• Location: Chalfont, PA
• Role Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions.
• Reconcile account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger integrity.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status by collecting data; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
• Enhance financial systems and processes using Great Plains software.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits, providing recommendations for improvements.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Preferred Experience:

• Proven experience as a senior accountant, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Great Plains software or similar accounting packages.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
