We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing team in Chalfont, PA. This hybrid role offers a combination of remote and on-site work. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost accounting within the manufacturing industry and proficiency in JD Edwards.

Job Title: Senior Cost Accountant

Salary: $115-$125k

Location: Chalfont, PA (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
• Perform month-end close activities related to cost accounting.
• Prepare and analyze inventory valuation, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on cost drivers and trends.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Support external audits by providing necessary cost accounting documentation and explanations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in JD Edwards is required.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
