Medical Insurance Collector

LHH is seeking an experienced Medical Collector for a remote position based in the Chandler, AZ area. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8am – 4:30pm, but are open to schedule flexibility!

Compensation will range between $19-$22 per hour, dependent on experience.

Requirement - 5 years or more of RECENT Medical Insurance Collections experience.

Responsibilities:

Working Medical Insurance Collections from Commercial and Medicaid payers

Follow up on claims that are outstanding and working both denials and appeals

Review aging reports and unpaid claims while monitoring activity, rebill claims as needed

Consistently staying up to date with changes in Medicare, Medicaid, and Private insurances

Responding timely to claims denials, exceptions, or exclusions

Additional medical collections duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma

REQUIRED – 5 or more years of recent experience in Medical Collections

Knowledge of working medical claims and reimbursements

Experience in Insurance Collections is a HUGE PLUS

Familiar with medical terminology with ability to analyze data efficiently

Experience in MS Suite and Excel

Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid

Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task

Ability to work individually and collaboratively

Highly detailed and sense of urgency

Strong customer service skills while being highly professional

Compensation:

$19 - $22 per hour

Schedule and location:

Monday through Friday

8am – 5pm (potential for flexibility)
