LHH Recruitment Solutions (fka Accounting Principals) is searching for a Staff Accountant for our client in Chesnut Ridge, New York. This is a full time position with benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and posting of journal entries
  • Preparation of account analysis, roll forwards and other analysis required for the month end close
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet and Income Statement variance analysis
  • Assist in quarterly review and year end audit process
  • Process and prepare monthly commission statements
  • Administer corporate credit card program
  • Fixed asset management including acquisitions and disposals
  • Prepare annual 1099 filing data
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 1 year of accounting experience
  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing company preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and have excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables & Vlookup), Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Sales Tax Filing is a plus
  • Knowledge of BAAN general ledger system and Infor BPA consolidation tool a plus.
