Accounts Payable

We are currently partnered with a rapidly growing organization in search for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in the manufacturing industry located in Bedford Park, IL. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience and be proactive with ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

Codes invoices, expense reports, check requests, etc., with correct codes conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system.

Handles all vendor correspondence via phone, fax or email.

Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices.

Prepares and processes check runs, credit card and ACH transactions.

Reconciles various accounts by identifying errors in posting or omissions, applying appropriate accounting standards.

Processes remittance information from invoices provided by vendors.

Receives, researches, and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.

Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and reports.

Performs other duties as required to support the Accounting Department.

Disburses and reconciles petty cash.

Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

Qualifications

Degree – High diploma (required),

Experience – ideally 5+ years, minimum 2 years

Software – Basic MS Excel (required) and experience using ERP systems

Additional Details

Contract to Hire

Hourly Rate: up to $20-22/hr depending on experience

Salary: up to $45-50K annually upon conversion

In-office, 40 hours
