Bookkeeper Role in Chicago, IL

LHH is looking for a Bookkeeper with a background in finance and accounting (particularly in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable) to join their dynamic team. We are in need of a detailed, organized, self-motivated team player who can work independently to manage all functions of the company's bookkeeping. Applicant must be knowledgeable in Quick Books.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Prepare bookkeeping reports
  • Process account statements and payments
  • Accounts Receivable; customer invoicing, payment processing, statements, and collections
  • Accounts Payable; review, approval and remittance of payables to vendors and partners
  • Provide financial advice for customer support, operations, sales and marketing departments
  • Preparation of monthly state sales tax return
  • Perform human resource-related tasks as needed (e.g. employee onboarding, data entry, review hours employees worked, etc.)
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 Year of Bookkeeping work required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks is required
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented (follow through is key in this position)
  • Tech savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask required
  • A genuine work ethic with the natural desire to go above and beyond. Hard work is highly rewarded in our company
