LHH is looking for an entry level Bookkeper for our client company based in Chicago, IL. This role will be responsible for analyzing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records to prepare and process financial statements, including accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and reliable bookkeeper with advanced critical organizational and analysis skills. You will work with your team to prepare quarterly payroll for the employees within the company.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Prepare bookkeeping reports.
  • Process account statements and payments.
  • File and maintain records of accounting activities.
  • Audit financial records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Maintain an eye on cash flow to detect any irregularities or fraud.
  • Perform human resource-related tasks as needed (e.g. employee onboarding, data entry, review hours employees worked, etc.)
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 Year of Bookkeeping work required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks is required.
  • Billing experience preferred.
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask required.
  • Willing to travel to headquarters.
