Our client is seeking an experienced individual for a contract-to-hire Cash Application/ Accounts Receivable Specialist position in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate must have at least four years of accounts receivable experience. Previous experience with NetSuite software is highly preferred.

Details:

• Position Type: Temp to Hire

• Location: Loop

• Start Date: Week of 5/12/25

• Rate: $25-$27/hr.

• Scheduled: Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Job Responsibilities:

• Allocate revenues and post to the appropriate ledger accounts

• Timely reconciles cash application

• Research and process invoice adjustment requests

• Reconcile general ledger accounts associated to Receivables

• Prepare write-off, discounts with approval from manager

• Maintain cash receipts journal and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L

• Post payments by recording cash, checks from lockbox, wire payments and credit card transactions

• Prepare AR aging reports and filing

• Review and verify the accuracy of revenues reported to Accounts Receivables

• Cross train with A/P Responsibilities

• Research and resolves any discrepancies associated with the receivables

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Associates Degree in Accounting

• Four years of Accounts Receivable experience

• Knowledge of computer accounting programs

• Previous NetSuite Experience is highly preferred

• Clear understanding of collections due process

• Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts

• Administrative skills including data entry

• Must have high attention to detail
