Fund Accountant – Investment Operations (Confidential)
Location: Chicago, IL (Fully Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Up to $110,000 total compensation (base + bonus)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm

About the Role

A well-established investment firm is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its collaborative and high-performing team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to financial operations, reporting, and cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow within a dynamic team.

• Review financial deliverables prepared by external service providers and ensure accuracy across capital activity, allocations, and reporting.

• Support internal processes related to cash management, reconciliations, and transaction tracking.

• Assist with valuation updates and financial analysis of portfolio activity.

• Coordinate with external partners on audits, tax deliverables, and investor documentation.

• Respond to client and investor requests, including reporting packages and data inquiries.

• Collaborate with internal teams to support operational workflows and special projects.

• Participate in process improvement and technology initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)

• 1–3 years of experience in asset management, public accounting, or financial services (preferred)

• CPA designation is a plus

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based setting
