Privacy Office Administrator (Contract)
Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite in Chicago, IL 60601 / 2 days remote
Pay Rate: $30–$40/hour (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, W2 Temporary Contractor, Assignment expected to run for 90 days with potential to extend, Paid weekly
Overview:
This role supports a corporate privacy office by coordinating compliance activities related to federal and state privacy regulations. The position involves managing policy updates, training compliance, reporting, and tracking privacy-related incidents and disclosures. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in privacy operations within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update privacy policies, procedures, and training materials
Track and report on privacy complaints, disclosures, and compliance certifications
Coordinate updates to internal tools and documentation
Support audit and compliance activities, including corrective action tracking
Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership and board-level review
Collaborate with departments to ensure process documentation is current
Monitor and respond to confidential communication and restriction requests
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal, or related field
2+ years of recent US experience in a privacy or compliance-focused role
Familiarity with federal and state privacy laws and regulatory frameworks within the US healthcare insurance industry
Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Lotus Notes a plus
Understanding of internal audit processes and policy lifecycle management
Experience with web content management or design tools is a plus
