Senior Benefits Analyst

About the Role:
A dynamic and fast-paced organization is seeking a Senior Benefits Analyst to join its HR team. This role is ideal for a seasoned benefits professional who thrives on solving complex problems, improving processes, and delivering an exceptional employee experience. You’ll play a key role in administering and enhancing a wide range of employee benefit programs, including health & welfare, retirement, and leave of absence programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and support company benefit programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, DOL, IRS, etc.).
Manage day-to-day operations of health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs.
Serve as a key point of contact for employee inquiries, vendor coordination, and issue resolution.
Analyze benefits data to identify trends, support audits, and contribute to strategic planning.
Lead and support the full cycle of leave and accommodation cases, including FMLA, STD, LTD, and return-to-work processes.
Collaborate with HR, managers, and employees to ensure clear communication and case updates.
Assist with benefits billing, invoicing, and premium collections for employees on unpaid leave.
Support and help lead the annual Open Enrollment process and new hire benefit orientations.
Maintain and update benefits documentation, guides, and communication materials.
Serve as a backup for 401(k) funding and other critical benefits processes.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in benefits administration.
Strong knowledge of employee health benefit plans and related compliance requirements.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects with precision and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with HRIS systems preferred.
Excellent communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a drive for continuous process improvement.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
