Accounting Specialist – Billing (Contract-to-Hire)

Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 annually

About the Opportunity:

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a dynamic and growing organization in the downtown Cincinnati area to fill a Contract-to-Hire Accounting Specialist – Billing position. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving team in a 100% onsite role, supporting critical billing and accounting functions for a respected industry leader.

Key Responsibilities:

• As part of the Accounting team, you will be responsible for:

• Generating client invoices based on project work and billed hours

• Collaborating with engineers to ensure accurate timesheet entries

• Responding to billing inquiries from clients and project managers

• Managing the full project lifecycle: setup, funding, billing, and closure

• Processing purchase orders and posting incoming payments

• Allocating payments accurately against invoices

• Performing billing accuracy checks and report analysis

• Supporting month-end general ledger reconciliations and closing processes

• Assisting leadership with financial reporting and ad hoc analysis

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• We’re seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven professional with:

• 1–3 years of relevant accounting or billing experience

• Strong communication skills to interface with internal teams and external clients

• Intermediate Excel proficiency, with a desire to advance to expert level

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational and analytical thinking skills

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
