Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (some flexibility available)
Location: Onsite | Coolidge, AZ
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in cost accounting and manufacturing finance to join our client's team. This role is responsible for overseeing general accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. The ideal candidate brings solid analytical capabilities, manufacturing industry experience, and a proactive approach to process improvement and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute month-end close activities
- Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Conduct bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Analyze financial statements including income statements and balance sheets
- Perform actual-to-budget variance analysis with a cost-focused lens
- Maintain and update fixed asset schedules
- Reconcile subledgers to general ledger
- Generate, interpret, and present financial reports and queries
- Support cost accounting and operational costing activities
- Assist with external audits and internal financial reviews
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and production teams
- May supervise junior accounting staff or clerical support depending on department structure
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing environment required
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis tools)
- Experience with SAP required
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
