Mechanical Design Engineer


LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for our client in Pittsburgh, PA.


Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the engineering and design efforts for systems of complex machinery
  • Source and incorporate purchased parts/assemblies into designs as needed
  • Communicate effectively with internal contacts such as project managers, electrical engineers, and production
  • Be involved as needed with new product development
  • Work with manufacturing on continuous improvement by creating and completing engineering change requests to standard designs
  • Up to 5% travel
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of electromechanical systems

  • Skills:

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
