Job Brief:

The Project Manager maintains and ensures compliance with time schedules and mismanagement budgets on project equipment where (NC) non-conformities have been found. Works with the Sales Groups, Quality Department, Product Line Engineers, Production Department, and the Purchasing Departments. This position can sit in one of two locations: Coraopolis or Cranberry Twp, PA.

Tasks and Day-to-Day Activities in the role:


Develop project Scopes of Work and Project Schedules to guarantee the repair of non-conformance capital and spare equipment

Identify parts to be procured or repaired, subsequently working with:


.


The Quality Department to initiate the corrective action process by properly measuring and evaluating non-conformance parts


The Product Line Engineers to outline the corrective action Scope of Work for the repair or replacement of commercial items and intercompany components


The Production Department to purchase factory materials, outline machining and fabrication activities, and process the correction action procedures


The Purchasing Departments to procure replacement commercial items and intercompany components


Ensure compliance with project time schedules, cost controls, and quality

Provide constant feedback to the Sales Group on the progress of the correction action until the repair processes are completed and the equipment is returned to the customer


Perform constant monitoring of Production Department activities in order to mitigate cost overages and project delays


Reduce the starting time of project activities by developing content for and coordinating project kick-off meetings


Provide weekly status updates for Sales Groups and Service management


Procure and interpret technical drawings to ensure the proper execution of the required corrective action activities on the Production floor


Maintain database of electronic documentation for each project


Domestic and international travel is required (10%-15%)

Skills and Must Haves:


.


Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field


1-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering functions, project management, or quality assurance


Fundamental understanding of metrology equipment, Faro equipment, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)


Strong verbal and written communication skills with a "Team Player" mindset


Expert mechanical problem solver with strong critical thinking skills


Experience and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
