Job Title: Pension Administration Specialist


Location: Remote


Duration: 6 month contract


Pay Rate: $25/hr to $30/hr depending on experience level


Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Pension Administration Specialist for a 6-month remote contract position. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in pension administration, including hands-on pension calculations, retiree payroll processing, and data analysis. This role involves detailed pension data analysis, writing requirements, and creating comprehensive test plans.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Pension Calculations: Perform complex, manual pension calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with plan specifications.


  • Retiree Payroll Processing: Review returned election forms, set up new payments, and update pension status for retirees.


  • Data Analysis and Specifications: Analyze pension data to summarize customizations. Write detailed specifications for system data loading and review validation results for accuracy.


  • Requirements Writing: Read and interpret pension plan documents to write clear and comprehensive requirements.


  • Test Plan Creation: Develop test plans from scratch based on requirements, including identifying all break-points and creating or mining data for test cases.


Soft Skills Required:



  • Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail in all aspects of work, including data analysis and documentation.


  • Independent Worker: Ability to work independently with regular check-ins to ensure alignment and progress.


  • Effective Questioning: Asks relevant and effective questions to clarify requirements and resolve issues.


  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly.


Qualifications:



  • Proven experience in pension administration, with a focus on manual calculations and retiree payroll.


  • Experience analyzing pension data and creating system specifications.


  • Strong ability to interpret pension plan documents and write detailed requirements.


  • Demonstrated experience in developing test plans and test cases.


  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently.
