Job Description

Credit & Collections Specialist II

Location: Downers Grove, IL 60515

The Credit & Collections Specialist II will be primarily responsible for A/R Activity across large and mid-size commercial accounts. Our ideal candidate would have prior experience in accounts receivable or commercial account management and exposure to credit analysis.

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Review and monitor customer accounts regarding accounts receivable, collections activity, credit analysis and billing review
  • Resolving discrepancies and fixing disputes or crediting errors
  • Providing status updates to Sales and AR group in weekly team meetings
  • Run aging reports and maintain Excel spreadsheets on accounts
  • Prepare billing statements and communicate documentation needs with customers
  • Enter credit applications and monitor credit worthiness
  • Prepare credit references and review credit history and reports
  • Make recommendation for credit limit increases or decreases
  • Additional responsibilities supporting accounts, assisting department with projects, etc.
  • Qualifications:

  • 1+ years' experience in Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Credit or Customer Account Management
  • Seeking an energetic and dynamic professional, excited to grow and learn!
  • This position offers room for upward mobility
  • Must enjoy working with numbers, researching and resolving account discrepancies as well as working with customers and providing exceptional service
  • Excel skills and comfortable in Microsoft Office products
  • SAP software experience preferred
