HR Generalist


Work Schedule: 3 Days in Office, 2 WFH


Location: Duluth, GA


Salary: $80,000 - $85,000


First Teams Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Assists with planning benefit activities for all employees.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Manages benefits administration to include but not limited to billing reconciliation, employee database audits, and compliance with required notices.
  • Coordinates Immigration processes and procedures and conducts internal audits of H-1B and L-1.
  • Analyzes data and reports on trends.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements and temporary housing for transferring employees.
  • Recruiting and Onboarding

  • Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.

  • Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 5-8 years of human resource experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP a plus.

  • Additional Required Skills:

  • Advanced skill level in Excel (testing is required)
  • Ability to prepare reports of data, analyze the data and present findings.
  • Compensation skills preferred: job description creation, salary scales, use of market salary survey tools.
  • Finance analyst experience: needs to be analytical, good at numbers, Excel.
