Lee Hecht Harrison Recruitment Solutions (LHH) is partnering with a world leader in the development and manufacturing of medical diagnostic equipment to fill their open Staff Accountant position in Dunedin, FL. In this role, you are given the opportunity to work with an outgoing team and collaborative company. To qualify, you must possess at least 4 years recent, relevant experience in a similar role. This is DIRECT-HIRE job. You will earn between $45,000 and $60,000 annually depending on your level of previous experience.

Responsibilities:

Collect customer payments from mail and download ACH payments and wires.

Compile support documentation for customer deductions as it relates to processing customer payments and refunds into accounting system.

Process customer payments on a timely basis by organizing and preparing bank deposits.

Collect delinquent receivables beyond the customary/agreed to credit terms.

Perform credit checks for existing and new customers.

Follow-up with customer contacts regarding unresolved customer claims.

Sort, code, and process vendor invoices to be signed by controller.

Prepare, review, and print checks for vendor payment.

Match checks to invoices and presenting them for signature.

Prepare, present for approval, and process electronic vendor payments via on-line banking.

Download the monthly credit card charges and prepare them for processing by organizing supporting documentation for monthly charges.

Preparing the American Express Payments through general journal entry.

Processing journal entries, monthly accounting closings, preparing and processing manual checks.

Prepare and present for review, the monthly operating cash flow forecast.

Facilitate month end functions.

Qualifications:

At least 4 years of recent, relevant experience

High School diploma or equivalent

Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others

Outstanding attention to detail

Compensation:

Between $45,000 to $60,000 USD annually depending on your level of previous experience
