LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a manufacturing company located in East Falls, PA. We are in search of an Accounting Specialist who will handle a significant amount of payroll responsibilities.
Job Description: Accounting Specialist
Position: Full-Time In-Office Role
Location: East Falls, PA
Salary: $50,000 - $65,000
Overview:
Reporting to the VP of Finance & Administration, you will play a key role in business operations, including processing payroll via ADP, managing vendor payables, invoicing customers, and assisting with the month-end close process. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with payroll/human resources experience and a strong desire to learn accounting. You will interact across the entire organization and with customers and vendors, so strong communication skills are essential. Applicants must thrive in both collaborative and solo settings.
Responsibilities:
Human Resources/Payroll:
- Process payroll for 50+ employees weekly using ADP, including managing timecards, vacations, and PTO.
- Manage timecards and relationships with the temp agency.
- Maintain employee files, including processing new-hire paperwork (I-9) and benefit setup.
- Track vacation and benefit schedules.
Accounting/Month-End Close:
- Process accounts payable, including matching invoices, packing lists, and purchase orders.
- Verify and process customer invoices, ensuring data accuracy from customer POs.
- Maintain sales commission schedules and related accruals.
- Track dealer sales and related programs.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training in payroll, human resources, accounting, and accounts payable.
- Attention to detail and ability to establish and follow processes consistently.
- Proficiency in Excel (formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables) – two assessments will be required prior to the in-person interview.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or other accounting software preferred.
- Strong time management and creative problem-solving skills.
- Inquisitive nature, excellent communication, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Desire to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to listen to and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Professional, courteous, and tactful under pressure.
- Experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable, distributions, 3-way matching, and manufacturing background is a plus.
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
