LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our clients finance team. This role is heavily focused on AP functions (approximately 80%) and requires a strong understanding of accounting principles. The ideal candidate will be capable of handling complex AP issues and supporting broader accounting functions, including month-end close and journal entries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process high-volume accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently

  • Resolve complex AP issues and discrepancies with vendors and internal teams

  • Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations

  • Prepare and post journal entries as needed

  • Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with internal controls

  • Collaborate with the accounting team to support audits and reporting

  • Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)

  • Strong experience in Accounts Payable (minimum 3–5 years preferred)

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
