Reports to two VP's

Duties and Essential JobFunctions:

  • Responds to all public requests for information in accordance with OPRA and Authority policies (usually within 7 days of the submission of the request).
  • With assistance from legal staff, identifies all records maintained by the NJSEA that are classified as public information.
  • Publishes/distributes the forms that are to be used by the public when requesting information via OPRA.
  • Establishes contracts with outside vendors to reproduce records in the medium requested.
  • Procures information by formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying and transmitting text and data.
  • Arranges and coordinates appointments, meetings and travel plans for division personnel.
  • Coordinates scheduling and staffing for seasonal boating program.
  • Additional Responsibilities:

  • Processes all requests for information and maintains a log of all requests submitted by the public.
  • Serves as timekeeper for the department.
  • Reviews and prepares invoices and purchase orders in accordance with accepted procedures.
  • Functions as back-up receptionist for the front desk as needed.
  • Contributes to team effort by completing assigned tasks on an as needed basis.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures as set forth in all official communications and addendums thereto.
  • Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with business-related curriculum preferred.
  • Familiarity with legal practices and terminology desired.
  • Excellent organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently.
  • Good working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to interact with the public in a productive way.
  • Work on site 100%

    Flex hours: 8-4 8:30-4:30 or 9-5

    temp to perm - salary up to 65- might go a llittle bit higer for a rock star
