Responsibilities:
Responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing bids, and managing the procurement processes for commercial flooring projects.
Manage flooring products, measurements, and installing processes and a proactive approach to pursuing sales opportunities and bidding on projects
Review and analyze project blueprints to determine flooring requirements
Utilize blueprint reading software to assess project specifications and bid on jobs
Review potential bids that meet business criteria and submit intent to bid
Prepare accurate competitive commercial flooring bids, submit to VP for review and approval
Handle the end-to-end procurement processes for flooring projects
Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing for materials.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Maintain a strong understanding of areas for products, specifications, and industry best practices.
Stay updated on trends and advancements in commercial flooring.
Create and maintain detailed project documentation including cost estimates material list and project timelines.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients regarding project details.
Identify and pursue sales opportunities that align with the company's scope and expertise.
Actively participate in the bidding process for potential projects.
Follow up on all quotes, while documenting all actions and notes
Manage and update leads, drive conversion through consistent follow-up.
Ensure extreme attention to detail in all aspects of estimation, procurement, and project documentation.
Conduct thorough reviews of project requirements to mitigate errors.
Communicate closely with the VP for the best job costing.
Understand time sensitive deadlines and deliver results beyond expectations.
Research and compare market pricing to ensure firm offers competitive pricing.
Be proactive in identifying potential challenges and proposing solutions.
Follow the life cycle of your sales, control the successful path.
Take initiative in pursuing sales opportunities and continuously seek ways to improve efficiency in estimation and procurement processes.
Build strong relations with your clients, to earn the respect of repeat business.
Attend networking events, trade shows, and community gatherings to expand professional network.
Requirements:
Commercial Flooring Experience needed
Experience with preparing accurate competitive commercial flooring bids
Understanding of the full life cycle process
Expertise in reading, reviewing and analyzing schematic designs, drawings and layouts.
Keen Attention to detail
Must have excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills
