LHH is actively seeking a Quality Engineer for an automotive manufacturing company in the Elk Grove Village area.

This role will be responsible for maintaining departmental documentation, PPAP, assisting with a variety of audits, monitoring supplier performance and investigating non conforming materials.

Responsibilities

  • Perform internal and external audits for qaulity and suppliers

  • Monitor supplier performance

  • Investigate non conforming materials, root cause analysis

  • Create/review SOPs and be able to explain them to all levels of the organization including production line workers

  • Use inspection tools to measure parts

  • Inspect and test mechanizims and equipment

  • Propose and implement corrective action

  • Lead effective trainings for all levels of the organization

  • Prepare and submit PPAP's

  • Communicate with customers, auditors and regulating bodies

  • Additional duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering

  • 5+ years of Manufacturing experience

  • Lead auditor or certified auditor- IATF and ISO 1400

  • Proficient in 8d 5 WHY

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving

  • Bilingual Spanish required
