LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a well-established and growing law firm located in Emeryville looking to add a Bookkeeper to the back office accounting team. The job is hybrid and will be in-office 3 days a week. The main functions of the role will be Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. The right candidate should have at least 3 years of accounting experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and a solid overall knowledge of general accounting. The candidate must also possess solid Quickbooks experience and be very proficient with Microsoft Excel. The role will report to the Accounting Manager.


Responsibilities include:


- Accounts Payable processing into Quickbooks and accurately code


- Identify classification and cost split arrangements and administer appropriately per agreement


- Credit card reconciliations and attain proper receipts and back-up information


- Accounts Receivable assisting on collection calls


- Assist with Excel spreadsheets bringing on new vendors and setting up correctly


- Research and resolve discrepancies based on case related costs


- Assist Accounting Manager on projects as assigned


Qualifications:


- Software experience with Quickbooks required


- Solid Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience


- Strong Excel skills (Work with Large Data Dumps, Pivot Tables, Vlookups)


- Industry experience withing the legal industry a big plus


- Solid knowledge of accounting and knowing your general accounting debits and credits (GAAP)


- Able to work independently, dedicated, and be self-motivated


- Attention to detail, accurate, multi-tasker, and organized


- Strong communications (written & verbal)


- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word & Outlook)


- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field would be nice to have


Experience: 3 to 5 years of Accounting experience (Bookkeeper, Accountant, Staff Accountant, Accounting Assistant, Accounting Clerk)


Compensation: $60,000 to $80,000 Depending on Experience
