LHH is looking for a Procurement specialists in the Chicagoland area, this role is FULLY REMOTE/ Contract- please let me know if you are interested!

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Obtains vendor quotations for orders
  • Verifies purchase order are accurately placed & received by vendor
  • Confirms price, discount, ship date, location, item, quantity, etc.
  • Researches and resolves order discrepancies
  • Resolves issues such as pricing revision, order cancellations, etc.
  • Promptly communicates delays or other issues to sales representative
  • Tracks status of purchase order at all times by:
  • Updating purchase order record of all order changes and progress
  • Maintaining database system integrity
  • Processes and follows up on equipment returns
  • Works with Accounting department to reconcile invoice discrepancies
  • Maintains professional relationships with vendors and internal customers
  • As directed, participates in vendor selection processes, including initial and ongoing assessment, negotiation and communications.
  • Receives computer equipment and other shipments in the San Antonio office
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications -

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one (1) year of purchasing processing experience
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Other Position Requirements -

  • Demonstrated knowledge of business practices related to purchase, price, and payment for commodities and services
  • Experience with vendor assessment, selection, and ongoing evaluation
  • Experience with an ERP (automated purchasing module)
  • Demonstrated understanding of General Ledger account coding
  • Demonstrated organizational, issue/resolution, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum 1 year experience in Computer Hardware/Software and Professional Services procurement
  • Experience with contract and pricing negotiation
  • Experience with cost and ROI analysis
  • Accounting experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IBM mid-range, peripherals, PC servers, and LAN/WAN equipment
  • Experience with Salesforce and Financial Force
