Job Title: Regulatory and Compliance Manager
Job Type: Full-time, direct-hire
Location: Hybrid – Based near Evanston, IL
Travel: Some regional travel will be required

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 (flexible for the right candidate)

About the Role
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Regulatory and Compliance Manager to lead compliance strategy across R&D, QA, and commercialization functions for our IL-based client. This is a high-impact role with growth potential, reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer. You’ll help shape regulatory frameworks and ensure alignment with evolving industry standards in food and nutraceutical manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead regulatory affairs and compliance initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to CFR 111/117, FSMA, FSVP, and global export policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development and supplier approvals
  • Manage regulatory submissions and certification renewals
  • Deliver training and guidance on compliance standards
  • Build relationships with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders
  • Support innovation and commercialization with a compliance-first mindset

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in regulatory affairs, food science, or related field
  • Experience in regulatory/compliance roles within food or ingredient manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of FSMA, FSVP, and international export regulations
  • Preferred certifications: RAC, ASQ, PCQI, HACCP
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Work Environment & Culture
  • Hybrid schedule: 3 remote days/week with flexible hours
  • Periodic travel to Midwest facilities to build rapport with plant teams
